Saw Spiritualized last night. I’ve lost count but it was probably my 40th time or so? 50th? After the show, I googled to check when I first saw them - it was October 1994. Lazer Guided Melodies, still probably my favorite album from them. They didn’t play anything from it, nor did they play Medication, but they did play “Lay Back in the Sun” and “Electric Mainline” so we got a couple oldies. It was Terminal 5, so, you know, sound. Look forward to seeing them again at the Paradise in Boston, which, you know, AWESOME SOUND.

Here is what $35,000 buys today: Steak and blue cheese tossed with dandelion greens. Artichoke, tomatoes and fennel with penne. Oven-roasted rutabaga fries. And a rigorous education, to boot. 

Can you imagine growing up eating lunch every day in something that looks like the Buffet room of the San Diego Airport Marriott? What kind of character will that build, I wonder? A bunch of Ryan Binghams?
