Romney
Actually, this reminds me of an epiphany I had the other day:
Romney’s been so horrible a campaigner that it makes me, a former Massachusetts resident, totally dislike him. He was, actually, a pretty great governor, not bad at all. Pretty pragmatic, worked well with the other party, didn’t freak out over any conservative issues, and passed the best health care in the country. When he first seemed to be the frontrunner, I was like “meh, whatever. He was a fine governor. I mean, the revolution will be postponed, again, but he’s not gonna run the country into the ground.”
And now, I have absolutely no idea, and he’s totally terrifying to me. Even though I lived under his governorship. It’s bonkers. It’s not just that he has policies that scare me, it’s that I have no earthly idea what he believes.
