Whenever you ask “how’s work?” This is a pretty excellent overview of the s**t that is going down in the world that has nothing to do with a small business’s profit or loss or clients or how things are going - the world around them has changed markedly, and it’s having some serious ramifications. It’s kind of fascinating, in a way, to watch the world change around your small business. Things beyond your control have major ramifications - many of the things in this article are things we’ve had to contend with - credit card companies arbitrarily lowering limits on cards that are otherwise in good standing. Banks choosing not to renew - or seriously debating, at any rate - lines of credit even though your business fundamental haven’t particularly changed. Loans being readily available to large institutions, but not so much to small, and at lower rates.
It’s a lot of work, but it’s also really educational and interesting.
