First, kudos to Dave Morin and the product team at Path on a seriously beautiful app. I have no idea whether or not this is going to be their blow out success, but it’s definitely in the right direction.
I’m very curious to see just how quickly people start copying the menu design here above. It’s snappy, simple, ergonomicly perfect, and can fit a variety of options in a small mobile space.
Personally, I’ll be using Path. Hope to see you on there.
Super into the new path. But here are my wish list features!
1) Ability to turn off/on notifications by path type. I like to get pinged when people comment or post a photo, but not when they listen to a song or check in.
2) Movies! I’ve found myself three times wanting to post that I’m watching a movie. or Books! Maybe just all media instead of just music?
3) I know it’s contrary to path’s desire, but I do with I could push things to Foursquare, Twitter, etc.
Also, the music thing is strange. How does it select those suggested tracks? It’s very weird and confusing to me.
But man, it’s gorgeous. Really liking it.
